Reina gave Daria a brief incredulous look, but could tell she was friendly enough. “I… My name is Reina,” she responded modestly. “I’m a botanist. It’s nice to meet you. Um… Where are you from?” Reina also really wanted to inquire to what could possibly bring this girl worldwide fame, but decided that was a question for later, maybe.
“Reina? That’s a cool name!” Daria grinned. This name really seemed to fit the girl. “Botanist? Isn’t it a person who study flowers?” The blonde elf chuckled. “I’m from Sharance, a town full of the most pretty and lively flowers! In the spring, it looks like a beautiful rainbow!” With a happy nod, Daria concluded. Actually, she didn’t live in the town, but really close. Really close. So close that they consider her as a villager, and always receive her with open arms. “And you? I bet that there are cool plants there!”

Startled again, Reina’s papers escaped her grasp, but she scrambled to clutch them before they scattered.
She turned to see the strange girl before her, smiling profusely. “Wh… what?” Gradually, her mind traced back to the rainbow. Embarrassed, she quickly made to stand up properly. “You… mean the rainbow? Yeah, it is pretty…”
With no chances of her grin fade away, Daria happily nodded with the affirmation. “Rainbows are always beautiful! They always make people happier!” She tooked a good look at the girl and tilted her head. The brown haired was so quiet that it just made her want to talk more and more. “So, my name is Daria. Memorize it, because one day it will be worldwide famous! How about you?”

/blushes/ We aren’t like that! Quit it! The marriage thing too! We haven’t even been going out for a year yet! So stop being unreasonable!! /flustered/
There so is! You’ve just drank too much if you don’t remember. What?? Gray isn’t boring! How do you think you get a rainbow? From a freakin thunderstorm! And what color is a thunderstorm, Daria? Oh that’s right, they’re GRAY. And you can’t really call thunderstorms boring, can you? /pokes her/ I think you’re just jealous that you’re not named after a color /crosses arms stubbornly/
… Really? That’s boring. But I don’t think I could wait anything else from you… Oh, well, but I know that somewhere you can’t wait her to blossom for you. Maybe if you drink a little…

WHAT?! I-I hadn’t drank too much! M-maybe 4 bottles or 5, but it’s Hanami! Don’t be a party pooper! /pouts/ And it’s not only storms, okay?! You can also have them with a waterfall, and they are a bright blue! When it is sunny, you are sure that it’ll be a rainbow on a waterfall! When it’s storm? Uh… Not so much!
And I would never be jealous of you! Daria comes from Dahlia, and it’s the name of a beautiful pinkish flower! Have you ever seen gray flowers around there that aren’t dead? Uh? I don’t think so!
/tearful eyes/ Gray is *sob* a boring name *sob* from a boring color *sob* I would never *sob* be jealous of it *sobsobsob*
… No! I incinerated them as soon as Gramps left the shop! /face palms/ Gah. I hope you didn’t ask poor Soph about them… Hey! Shut up! /blushes/
What? Gray is so too on the rainbow! Most rainbows are so faint anyway, they all look gray! So take that. Hmph. Rainbow right back at you.
/chocked face/ You burned them?! … /shrugs/ Well, some couples do prefer to get laid without it, but… Sheesh, if she appears with a baby before the marriage, it is all your fault.
… Where did you take it from?! Hell no! I’ve studied them for years, there’s no gray there! Even when they are a little bleached, they aren’t gray! You just don’t accept that you have the boring name of a boring color with a boring meaning.

Startled by the shout, Reina allowed her notes to escape from her hands. Making a quiet, but indignant sound, she quickly got to her knee’s to retrieve them.
As she gathered, she searched out the source of the noise. Konohana wasn’t usually a particularly loud community, and the voice wasn’t familiar. And on farther inspection, Reina realized she was right. The colorful clothes and blonde hair certainly wasn’t Konohana native, but not a Bluebell soul either. She’d never seen this girl.
And… did she say rainbow? Despite her repercussions, her gaze followed the strange girls and sure enough, there was a faint rainbow shimmering above the rivers.
A ruffle of papers caught the blonde’s attention. With curious eyes, she looked back and noticed a green girl picking some notes. Had she scared her? Maybe not. Probably she’d just dropped it because of another reason.
Noticing the other’s attention driving to the rainbow, Daria smiled again and walked to the dark-haired girl with a cherish grin on her lips “It’s beautiful, right?!” exclaimed, unaware of her maybe-too-loud-for-the-moment tone
Feeling a tug in the muscles of her neck and back, Reina finally resolved to lift her head from the books sprawled across the small library counter. After getting a satisfactory pop from her shoulders, she let her eyes readjust to the natural lighting by the windows, or, she realized, the lack thereof.
“Oh…” Reina mumbled, biting her lip. In her research, the day had mostly escaped from her, despite her resolve to only read for an hour or two. Or five, it seems. Hastily collecting her notes, she made for the exit. She needed some fresh air…
Getting outside, she was glad to see that the sun was still up, despite the dim amount shown from the windows inside. She might have time to do some fieldwork, or maybe just enjoy the warm weather and people watching.
It was a really good day for Daria.
First of all, it was a sunny spring day. The flowers were lively, the sky was a bright tone of blue and everything seemed to be happier than usual. It wasn’t a day to lock yourself in a building. It was a day to go around.
And be artistic!
So she decided that stay in Sharance wouldn’t be a perfect way to enjoy a perfect day. Why stay at only one place, when you can go to so many and spread her reainbow-ly art to the world?
Over all, when was the last time she had gone for one of those artistic walks?
But she couldn’t help it anymore. The day was so beautiful and…
Was that a rainbow?
“RAINBOW!!” shouted her in excitement, not caring if anyone was around.
